Goal 10

Reduce inequality within and among countries

By 2030, all people, regardless of age, gender, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status, should be empowered and their social, economic and political inclusion promoted.

Promote equality of opportunity and reduce inequalities by eliminating discriminatory laws, policies and practices and promoting appropriate legislative, policy and other measures. By 2030, the income of the poorest 40% of the population should also be increased and policies should contribute to progressively greater equality. Improve regulation and supervision of global financial markets and enhance the voice of developing countries in decision-making in global international economic and financial institutions. Empowerment and the achievement of social, economic and political inclusion are central for persons with impairments/disabilities. Their consideration in measures to improve the income of the poorest 40% of the population is also important for them, as they are disproportionately represented in this group.
