Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation

To build high quality, reliable, sustainable and resilient infrastructure by 2030 to support economic development and human well-being.

A focus is to be placed on affordable and equal access for all. Broad-based and sustainable industrialisation is to be promoted and the share of industry in employment and gross domestic product is to be increased. By 2030, infrastructure should be modernised and industries retrofitted to make them more sustainable with more efficient use of resources and increased use of clean and environmentally sound technologies and industrial processes. In upgrading infrastructure, care should be taken to make it accessible so that more accessible jobs are created and employment opportunities for people with impairments/disabilities are improved. Attention should also be paid to barrier-free design when expanding access to information and communication technology and affordable access to the internet, so that these can be used equally by people with impairments/disabilities.
