As a result of the Rio+20 Conference in 2012, the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) was created at the UN level to replace the UN Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD).
This "High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development" is thus the central body at the United Nations to review the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and to make recommendations. The states report on their implementation by the year 2030 twice at the annual meetings of this body. The meeting takes place every four years at the level of heads of state and government. This year, Germany will already report to this high-level body on implementation in and by Germany.More information about the HLPF
Furthermore, the states are to submit an annual report on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals to the United Nations.
