Conferences on Inclusive Volunteering

bezev is continuously present at or organizing its own international events and conferences on inclusive voluntary commitment. These events are usually designed for partner and sending organizations in the area of international voluntary services.

Following past events have taken place:

bezev partner workshops on inclusive volunteering

In order to get to know the perspective of the interested project posts and partner organisations of bezev and the cooperating sending organisations, bezev implemented three partner workshops between 2012 and 2014.

The three workshops took place in Mexico for Latin-American partners, in India for Asian partners and in Ghana for African partners.

In the workshops culture and project post specific frame conditions and recommendations for a successful voluntary service of persons with and without impairment/disability were worked out.

The results of these workshops have been documented and made available to all interested organizations (see documentation as download below). Furthermore, they are part of the manual „Just do it now!“ and can be read in this manual in a systematically structured form (see section „publications here“)

weltwärts partner conferences

bezev has, furthermore, participated between 2012 and 2017 in about six weltwärts partner conferences organized by other weltwärts sending organizations which took place in India, the Philippines, Ghana, Kenya and Chile. Two more conferences with participation of bezev are planned for September/October 2017 in India and Georgia. 

At these conferences bezev assessed the perspective of about 300 weltwärts partner organizations on inclusive volunteering. bezev discussed together with the most partners how to make their voluntary service inclusive for everyone.

Evaluating inclusive voluntary services:

Furthermore, a kick-off workshop and two evaluation conferences were organized by bezev together with the partner organizations. They took place in 2014 and 2016 in Germany and gave the interested partner organizations of the weltwärts program a chance to reflect on their ideas and evaluate their experiences regarding inclusive voluntary services. The results of these evaluation conferences are part of the publication of bezev "Just do it now!" which can be ordered here.
