bezev organises conferences on various topics of development cooperation.

In June 2017, for example, an international symposium on the subject of inclusive urban development was held in Berlin. In December 2015 bezev organised a conference on the topic of Agenda 2030 inclusive. With the conferences, bezev wants to create exchange and networking on the topic of inclusion.

Agenda 2030 inclusive - Conference on SDG

A conference on Agenda 2030 was held in Berlin on 1 December 2015.

On 1 December 2015, the international symposium "2030 - an agenda for equal participation" took place in Berlin, which was jointly organised by bezev, Caritas international, Handicap International and Misereor on the occasion of the International Day of People with Disabilities.

Human Rights Conference "Poverty and disability worldwide - A neglected problem?

Poverty is not just about low income, but also includes social aspects such as access to food, clean drinking water, health, education and decent housing. People with disabilities worldwide are at greater risk of living in poverty than other population groups. Most poor people live in the so-called developing countries. But people who are considered poor also live in Germany. According to the Federal Statistical Office, 13 million people in this country are threatened by poverty.

International Conference "Inclusive early childhood development - an underestimated building block in poverty reduction

From 3-4 February 2011, Disability and Development Cooperation (bezev), Caritas international, Kindernothilfe and the children's missionary organisation "Die Sternsinger" organised the international conference "Inclusive Early Childhood Development - an Underestimated Building Block in the Fight against Poverty", which took place at the Gustav Stresemann Institute in Bonn. In workshops and specialist presentations, the more than 90 participants addressed the significance of early childhood development for human development and poverty reduction and discussed how the area of early childhood development can be strengthened in development cooperation.

Disasters affect everyone! People with disabilities in humanitarian emergencies

7 - 8 November 2007 in Bonn People with disabilities are also among the most vulnerable groups in the humanitarian field and are affected more than others by disaster situations. Due to their lack of consideration in evacuation plans and lack of access to emergency relief and shelter, people with disabilities are very limited in their ability to cope with emergencies.
