Development Cooperation

The main topic "Development Cooperation" deals on the one hand with the inclusion strategy and on the other hand actors and projects from practice are presented.

Worldwide people with impairments/disabilities have a greater risk of having to live in poverty than other population groups. Nevertheless, they had to wait a long time before they achieved a noteworthy status in the history of development cooperation. In the meantime, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) now has an action plan for the inclusion of people with disabilities. The aim is to anchor the inclusion of persons with disabilities systematically and cross-sectionally in development policy.
