Inclusive Health

The sub-theme "Inclusive Health" provides information on international commitments, concepts and literature.

Global health currently faces three main challenges: to ensure access to essential health services for all people on this planet; to better protect people from health emergencies such as pandemics and epidemics; and to improve people's health status and well-being. Finally, health is a human right and is enshrined as a Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 3) in the 2030 Agenda.

People with disabilities are particularly affected by the challenges of global health. In this context, barrier-free, inclusive and interdisciplinary health care is the basis for self-determination and equal participation.

Good health care is not available for many people, especially people with impairments/disabilities.
